WELCOME STUDENTS!!!

University Baptist Church (UBC) is a multi-ethnic church on a journey to missional faithfulness. In the process of learning and becoming we are embracing key values of risk taking, servanthood, hospitality, forgiveness, and obedience in faith. These values are what Jesus calls his followers to embrace as we carry out the great commission.

We share our faith through acts of love and ministry to the Iowa City/Coralville community, including students from the University of Iowa and Kirkwood Community College. Our church has a long history of work with college students. You are invited to be an active part of study and ministry at UBC. Let UBC be your church home away from home.

BREAKFAST AND BIBLE STUDY!! Meet us in the morning to fill your body, mind, and spirit. We are engaged in challenging Bible study that enables learners to bring scripture to life and relevance in modern life. Join us for coffee, juice, milk, pastries and savory home made goodies.

MULTI-CULTURAL POTLUCKS Every student needs a little home cooking now and then. We are excited to offer potluck socials with delicious food, great fellowship, and opportunities to learn about different countries, people groups, and cultures. Students need only bring an appetite!

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP - We want our college students to know they are important to us. We consider them part of our extended church family. Thus, we offer "Associate" memberships to those students who come from other parts of the country and want to be active in our church while they are in Iowa City. This allows them to maintain their official "full" membership in their church back home.
